A staple of the Toronto scene for close to ten years, the Anti-Queens are a hard- working, punk as fuck quartet of high-powered women ready to take over the world. They are well-known for their high-energy, take-no-prisoner live performances influenced by the Blackhearts, The Runaways, L7 , Nirvana and the Distillers. They have toured the US east coast extensively, played all over the GTA and played some well-reviewed sets at NXNE, Indie Week, Canadian
Music Week, Pouzza Fest, Beau’s Oktoberfest as well as many others. They have also had the opportunity to open for international acts such as Michale Graves, Die Mannequin, the Planet Smashers and have excelled in collaborations with Sarah Blackwood from international recording artists Walk Off The Earth. The band has two EPs out already : the infectious «Grow up/Stay Young» , the electric «Start Running» and is getting ready to release their label debut on Stomp Records.
